WSS gives out the boni (plural for bonus) at 9:00 am, EST.
Keep in mind that a player who does not meet his
estimates can be awarded a negative bonus, just as the opposite can result in a positive one.
Also, pay attention to how many of the players statistical estimates have been exceeded. An NBA player who has doubled his estimate of rebounds would not necessarily
get a viable bonus if he did not meet his scoring and/or assist estimates.
Buyable Events
This is a term I believe I invented, but I could be wrong. A buyable event is any event where I know that the resulting 9:00am Bonus will more than cover the 2%
commission paid as a result of a buy/sell.
Generally, any Goal Scored, Touchdown or Home Run is a buyable event. The extent of the bonus determines just how "buyable," if you follow. A hockey player who
scores a hat trick will certainly receive a greater percentage bonus than a player who doesn't, regardless of estimates. However, Kevin Hatcher scoring a Hat Trick will yield
a greater percentage bonus than Jaromir Jagr doing the same.
In Football, look for Touchdowns Scored (except Kick returns). Defensive Touchdowns and takeaways also qualify.
Unusual plays are usually a good buy. A receiver who scores on a Reverse CAN earn a substantial bonus, such as the one Rod Smith received in the 2000
season. A quarterback who scores on a run will also earn a significant bonus.
WARNING: Most QB's must throw at least two TD passes to earn a decent bonus, absent a TD run.

TIP: A kick return Touchdown does not earn a bonus.
In Hockey, Goals scored, period! Lots of assists will help, but the biggest Boni are the result of Goals scored, as Goals scored can also be power-play goals (PP),
short-handed goals (SH) and are always 2 points for the player.
A goalie who records a shutout will usually yield a decent return via bonus, as well. It helps if the goalie records saves in excess of his estimates, too.
In Baseball, the HR is the prize of prizes. It obviously counts in more than one statistical category, and is a fairly safe buyable event.
Disclaimer: I have not
participated through a baseball season, so this information is based upon what I have been told.
Buyable Performance
Similar to buyable events, except that the reason to buy a given stock is not based on a single event, but rather a game's performance. These are statistics that can
only be analyzed AFTER a game has been completed.
In the NBA, look for players who have 1 1/2- to 2x- Points estimates. Rebounds and Assists are the other two important stats to look at,
but neither are "SUPER" important unless points scored has been surpassed, as well.
I don't do Golf, but I DO know that Birdies are the primary statistical category, and that Eagles are the icing on the cake.
